Brian and Lori's Home

For Brian Martin and his fiancée, Lori, a long time dream of theirs has come true. In June of 2008 they finished construction on their new log home. Brian said that they had always wanted a log home and what better place to build one than in the Green Mountain state of Vermont. Their wooded lot in Highgate Vermont was just the right setting for a log home, providing privacy for the family and the natural surroundings that any hunting enthusiast like Brian could dream of.

Log Home

Together, Brian and Lori decided on the Mountain View floor plan with a couple of modifications to the plan. They made part of the deck into a 46’ covered porch and inside added some character with an attractive set of half log stairs. Brian said they spent a lot of time looking through Log Home Living magazines to come up with ideas for what they liked and in the end were very satisfied with the home they built. Their favorite room in the house is the living room. They like that it lets so much light in and is a very peaceful and calming place to relax.

Choosing the right people to build the home for them was not a difficult task at all. Their friend, Rene Gagne, was just the right person for the construction of the home due to his excellent craftsmanship. For the electrical work, their two close friends Joe Gregoire and Carl Greenia did a great job and Brian’s son, David, did superb work on the plumbing. It was truly a blessing for Brian and Lori to have friends and family they knew they could trust to do a wonderful job on their home. Brian said that the great thing about a log home was that he was able to help with the log stacking and will always remember that he was part of the home building process. He and Lori were also able to help with the polying and staining of the home.

It’s always great hearing from our customers and we were so glad to hear how happy Brian and Lori are with their new log home.
