Everything has a beginning. God created the earth for our enjoyment. He made the earth very beautiful and useful. He proved His creativity and power by giving us such a wonderful place to live.
We begin our log home process by using mature Northern white pine trees that God created. This is a common growing tree to the Northeast and a very hearty species. White pine grows to the size to allow for the best usage and quality of log for our homes. It also has a very good R-value. White pine grows fast and can be replanted quickly. Loggers from around New England harvest these logs and send them to the saw mill.
Each log is cut for best usage. Boards and lumber are cut away from the sides of the tree to create a square beam called a cant.
This cant is sent to the kiln to dry until the moisture content meets specific levels. This dry cant is sent into our planer to create the tongue and groove log profile of your choice.

We draw your construction plans and design the home you want. These plans help us create your new log home. We use these plans to pre-cut your logs so they are ready to assemble at your site.
We pre-cut your logs and number them so you can easily place them in the correct place. We cut out windows, doors and the interlocking corners. After we cut your logs they are wrapped and ready for shipment. We load your log home onto a large truck and ship it to you on a day we have pre-planned with you. |
